I have done some serious searches and found little on any actual solutions other than "ubuntu should come with correct drivers installed", and a thread from back in 2008 regarding the same issues I am having. I just installed 12.04 and everything is working fine, except the XFI Fatality audio card. It plays sound but the 5.1 audio is not working properly. In windows, I was able to make adjustments for correct 5.1 output to my home theater receiver using XBMC. Now that I have switched to ubuntu, the audio is in stereo only, and the only cause I can find is the driver. I was able to find a linux driver and download it, but I have no clue on how to install. Please help.
