You seem to have large / (root) partition very far into a large hard drive. Some have had issues with very large . and either needed a small about 25GB / and a separate partition for /home to use the rest of the space you want for Ubuntu. Or you can create a /boot partition fully within the first 100GB of the hard drive, for some that solves boot issues.
