Fixed it by installing suld-configurator-1-qt4 from the package manager. It began to work for some reason )
Years ago I used to install that garbage software on my Ubuntu system because it was the only way to get my SCX 4200 printer to work but nowadays it is much easier and it works much better to just use the standard Ubuntu software. Just "add printer", click on that model, and that is it. That Samsung software is incredibly intrusive. It I remember correctly, they even replaced the stock lpr command with their own version! That is very poor software design.

I got the same printer and it works on 13.04 out of the box without Samsung's driver.
Ive tried that but it didnt work. Kept yelling that some sort of file is missing, this is the only way i got it to print, althou system still cant detect the built in scanner. Still trying to figure it out.
I prefer to use LTS versions, will wait for next LTS version.
