Hardware check Application before Updating to new Ubuntu Version

    Hi all,

Is there any possibility to test if the "Upgrade to Ubuntu Version 13.04" would work fine on the specific Hardware constellation?
I mean a check, which would check critical things like "would I get a black screen on boot" , "kernel works", "common hardware functions still working", etc..
Is there any testing application? That would be a huge advantage. So no one would get in trouble after upgrading.. Because we would not upgrade.
On the other side, the application could report the analysis what went wrong, so Ubuntu could fix the problems.

Maybe Wubi Install helps for testing too. But I don't know how it would work, as I also have Dual boot at startup with installed Ubuntu.
Would I get two screens for selecting booting System? One at beginning to select between "Ubuntu and Windows", and after selecting Windows, would be there a second screen
where I can select between "Windows and Wubi Installation" ?

    thx

Glance at both : fwts & checkbox inside the repo (synaptic)

but the easiest/fastest way to test booting is : using the iso with an usb thumb
