Question Adding program to "Open With:" list

I have Ubuntu 13 (though I couldn't figure out how to do this in any other version either) and I'm trying to figure out how to set ubuntu to open all "FILENAME.sunvox" files with this specific exucutable. It is not an installed program for the Ubuntu software center. It is a linux executable downloaded from http://www.warmplace.ru/soft/sunvox/ (great software, by the way).

Does anyone know how to do this? Thanks in advance.

Create a dekstop file for it, i.e. a launcher, using, for example MenuLibre (a very good app) and then right click on a .sunvox file, select Properties, click on the Open With (or something similarly titled) tab, then click Add and select Sunvox, click OK, and finally make sure that it is set as the default app for this type of file in the list.

    Hope that helps.

Did you try logging out and logging back in and then following again the above steps again?
