    VLC crash

    Hi,
My VLC crashed once at opening a folder and since that it crashes always. Can I delete/overwrite something to solve?
    Thanks in advance,
    m

I would try deleting the user config files so fresh ones get generated:
    Code:
    rm -r ~/.config/vlc

    Re: VLC crash

    if above fails

    Code:
sudo apt-get remove --purge vlc; sudo apt-get autoremove; sudo apt-get install vlc

I tried an other folder and works. Something must be wrong with this one.

Trry running it from a terminal with

    Code:
    vlc
You might get more idea of what's going on to cause the crash.

Did you run the following command? (Note: it's legally questionable, so consult a lawyer if you actually care):
    Code:
    sudo sh /usr/share/doc/libdvdread4/install-css.h

The posted command was missing an s (.sh), this should work a bit better

    Code:
    sudo /usr/share/doc/libdvdread4/install-css.sh
