    Exclamation Unusual problem with wireless

    I have a Dell Inspiron N5110 with a Broadcom 4313 wireless card.

I had wireless working on Ubuntu 12.04 and 12.10 with the Broadcom STA drivers, but since updating to Ubuntu 13.10, I have this unusual problem.

My wireless internet connection is severely crippled when I am connected to the mains power (~1-10Kb/s), but is fine when running on battery ( > 20Mb/s). This is unusual since you'd expect it to be the other way round. I haven't installed or removed any software since updating to 13.10, apart from installing the STA drivers.

I thought perhaps disabling wireless N on my router might make the wifi faster for my Ubuntu system - is this the case, and is this possibly relevant to the above issue?
