Logitech M500 Mouse on Precise Pangolin - Any Users?

    Hello Forum,

I've been considering upgrading to the more ergonomic Logitech M500 Corded Mouse for more than a year. However, it was known to cause system freezes on Lucid Lynx.

I've now upgraded to 12.04 and I'm wondering if this version can deal with the M500. Has anyone used it successfully? I couldn't find anything on this in existing threads.

I should probably add that it doesn't have to be Pangolin specifically - if the M500 has worked for anyone on an Ubuntu newer than Lucid Lynx 10.04 then that's all the information I need.

It's too bad that mice seem to be problematic when there's support (in both ends) for much more complicated hardware like motherboards et cetera.

Just replaced my circa 2003 Msoft intellimouse optical 5 button with the M500. Works fine with Linux Mint Maya amd-64 Mate (precise equivalent)
