I am not seeing the change prefix option to mark a threads solved in Chrome, but it is visible in Firefox. Both browsers are running Ghostery with the same settings. I did use go advanced and the prefix tab doesn't appear.

That'll be nothing to do with chrome or firefox.
That is to do with the time limit on thread edit - at the moment it's still at 60 days.
It might well change in the future.
I've marked it solved for you.
Thank You !
I hadn't tried to mark that thread in Firefox, but have with another thread.

Spoke too soon maybe , I just attempted close this thread in Firefox and the prefix didn't appear . I will disable the add-ons and report back latter.
Edit: No change after disabling add-ons and restarting browswer . I wll check cookie settings next.
Edit: Cookies are enabled, but no change.

In your OP in this thread it looks as though you are trying to mark a thread as solved from a post which is not the first one. You can only change the prefix from the first post of a thread and, as Elfy mentioned, there's the 60-day limit on editing posts to consider. The time limit on editing is something we are looking at in the context of a number of things so it might change.
