    No it was only a freebie no-name one and I can't be sure it was that. Given the pros and cons I feel a Live USB is a better method than a full USB install, but to each his own.

    Each has it's advantages, I guess it depends what you need it for.
    Full installs boot faster and are more secure but can't be used to install Ubuntu or fit on a drive under 5GB.
    All my removable devices, including my MP3 player, have either Full or Persistent installs on them.

    On my larger flash drives with a full install, I put ISOs directly into the data partition and use grub2 to loopmount them. So my full install can be an installer also, but is more for the repair ISO as a super repair flash drive with a variety of repair ISO.
