    some unity questions

    Just installed Ubuntu 13.04 today and Unity looks good now (and its fast!) since I haven't used it in ages (I'm used to Xfce).

    1. One thing I'm missing in unity is the old alt-tab for switching windows. I don't like the way you have to wait for a small delay to display other file manager windows when I have three of them opened. Is there a way to get back the old alt-tab switching where it list all you open programs and windows?

    2. Is there a way to move the launcher to the bottom of the screen? My monitor is not a widescreen format so it would help if I can move it to the bottom.

    3. I want to minimize programs by clicking their icon on the launcher because its very hard to hit that small minimize button in the top left. Is there a way to do this?

    4. Is there a program/setting/command line tool/script that can edit my right click menu. I'm have been spoiled by Linux Mint which have right click options like: "open terminal here" "open this folder as root" etc.

    Hope there are solutions to these small annoyances. It kills my productivity down.

    Thanks a lot!

    Ubuntu Tweak: http://www.crappy3.com/home/index/ho...l-ubuntu-tweak
    admins tab ---> Scripts

    You can also check Unity Tweak Tool (in software center).

    Thanks! Wil check out Ubuntu Tweak. I'm going to bump this...number 1 is my priority so if anyone was able to provide some workarounds I would appreciate it.

    Number 2 and 3 can be done, but it needs older Ubuntu (12.04) and some unofficial patches.

    I'm not sure if they make it available for 13.04, as Unity is moving away from compiz to QT in 13.10. In the other hand those features could well be in QT - just bug report it when the development are taking that move.
