has anyone confirmed if there going to release a netbook version
A beta should upgrade to the released version on apt-get dist-upgrade

Now the main Ubuntu edition uses Unity, so the "netbook version" in just Ubuntu. However, I think that Gnome Shell is very good as netbook GUI, so you could also try the "Ubuntu GNOME" flavor: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGNOME On low-end netbooks you could also try Lubuntu (with LXDE desktop environment) https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Lubuntu which is pretty lightweight.

Pretty well, if you have been zsyncing and zsynced again until you get %100 then that is pretty well the final spin. The release is not yet at any of the usual URLs.
final iso can be found in here http://releases.ubuntu.com/raring/
Hot damn, it's actually there. I wonder when the repos will be updated so I can just sit back and let Software Updater do all the work.
