Ubuntu used to have a "Netbook Remix" which shipped Unity instead of the plain GNOME 2 interface. Now the main Ubuntu edition uses Unity, so the "netbook version" in just Ubuntu.

However, I think that Gnome Shell is very good as netbook GUI, so you could also try the "Ubuntu GNOME" flavor: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGNOME

On low-end netbooks you could also try Lubuntu (with LXDE desktop environment) https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Lubuntu which is pretty lightweight.

That is not so. A beta with all its updatres is the same as the final release.

i installed the beta 2 from the website will it update to the final version or do i have to download the new one.

With all the updates it will be the same as the final release. It is likely that it already has those updates and is the final version.

Pretty well, if you have been zsyncing and zsynced again until you get %100 then that is pretty well the final spin. The release is not yet at any of the usual URLs.
