Hi,
i've just bought my first router, the asus rt-n66u. I procede connecting the cable fron lan gate of the routher to the one of my pc. The first problem i see is that the led of the gate is orange but maybe is due to not configured connection. Now if digit the ip of router 192.168.1.1 it tells me
Code:

Connection time out
192.168.1.1 server is taking too long to respond.
The site may be unavailable or overload. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web.
so i disabled the firewall by
Code:
sudo gufw disable
and i've set "no proxy" on Firefox net card configuration. Still i can't reach the router.

it seems that the pc doesn't see the router, then if a digit
