Evince (Document Viewer) is included with Ubuntu. However you can also get Acrobat I believe, similar question. Thats the first google result for acrobat for ubuntu. Here's the second.

If you just need the Acrobat Reader, it can be found in Synaptic Package Manager.

    if you need the reader:
there are plenty of PDF readers that load much faster than Acrobat reader. they are also better at reading. but as mentioned you can also have acrobat reader if you need it.

    Re: Acrobat

Doesn't the ability to edit PDFs depend upon it's format? PDF/A-1a, for example, is supposed to render it uneditable.

(a non-PDF/A-1a can be edited in LibreOffice Writer as well)

    Re: Acrobat

I did not know there was Acrobat for Linux. I use Acrobat PRO a lot. Quite frankly, it's the only reason I can think of why I would not move to linu completely. Although I am new to Linux, in the short time I have used it, I already like it...a lot. Interesting about Wine, and whether my Windows Acrobat disk will work.
