Hello, I have used the following two pages to set up my Wii remote in Ubuntu:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/CWiiD
http://abstrakraft.org/cwiid/browser...ction_enum.txt

After getting everything up and running, I have two profiles that I've created so far - one for general system navigation and one for media control. I may add one later for game control or something similar. Each profile has the buttons mapped to relevant keys/buttons for each profile.

One thing I wanted to do was to have the software run as a daemon in the background so I wouldn't have to do anything but turn the remote on and start using it. Two issues with that, however: one, it seems that with some updates in Ubuntu since about 9.04, it's no longer possible to do, at least from what I can figure out. The second thing is even if it can be started automatically in the background, it can only choose one profile. So, what if I decide to change its profile while it is running? Is that possible?
