    Thoggen

Hi there I was using Thoggen in 12.10 and when I upgraded to 13.04 it went away and I can not reinstall. I am not sure if this is the right place to put this but I am not sure were else to ask.

So you think that when 13.04 comes out (final) Thoggen might come out with it.

    No, it won't.
    Removal requested on 2013-04-10.

does not build against current glib, hal, and dbus, dead upstream, uses old gstreamer, removed from Debian testing, long-standing RC bugs
If inclined maybe the quantal package will run on 13.04, maybe it won't
(download the latest quantal package, install with gdebi, also install appropriate gstreamer-0.10 plugins like ffmpeg & bad ones.

A couple of options you can try are MakeMKV http://www.makemkv.com/ or Handbrake http://handbrake.fr/

    Re: Thoggen

I just upgraded myself and discovered this problem. I got Thoggen back up and running by downloading the old package from <http://packages.ubuntu.com/quantal/thoggen> and a couple of dependencies.

Since Saucy has been released, and we are in the midst of testing Trusty, there isn't a need for this thread any more. Closed.
