I installed Klipper, but I don't get it to work, and I don't know how it works.

Where can I find a users manual?

I just don't get klipper to respond in any way. I have an icon in my left taskbar, when I click on it I get a small icon in my upper taskbar, and that's as far as it goes. I don't get any menu, no matter how hard I click on it, and it just doesn't do anything.

That makes me think you're using Unity. Are you? If not, which version of KDE are you running?

I'm running unity. Is it possible to run klipper with that?

    Re: klipper

From your experience, I'd guess not, since it expects a KDE plasma desktop, but I'm not a programmer and I'm not 100% certain.

Have you checked the Software Center for other clipboard programs?

Glipper is the GNOME brother of Klipper, give it a try. Parcellite also works well.

My Clipit clipboard manager is acting up. He doesn't want to change the to be pasted text when I click on it in the menu. What can I do about that?

I deleted and re-installed the program a few times, but that doesn't help.

I'm running 12.04 with the unity desktop.
