    Pidgin growing exponentially

I don't know if anyone else have had this problem, but it seems that Pidgin on my computer has turned into a sentient being and is now feeding of my Xubuntu, thus growing exponentially. It's taking over my desktop more and more. It keeps growing and I can't re-size it back to a smaller window. It is now covering most of my Desktop 1920x1080.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it?

If not. Should I kill it by uninstalling it, or let it live and see what happens? I'm afraid that if I let it live, it would start to grow outside it's habitat and try to take over the world.

I found this old thread and I don't know if its still valid but maybe it will help you.

    Hope that helps!
