iTunes: How to get rid of old entries?

I tried to install v9.2, which kept freezing on me, so deleted all Apple files from within my .wine folder.
Then I downloaded an earlier version (7.7), and when I try to install, it tells me I already have a lter version, so can't install.

How can I ensure I have got rid of the offending files so that I can re-install an earlier version?

    Cheers.

If you don't have anything else running under WINE you could just purge and reinstall WINE. Should remove everything effectively.
