Disk protection Toshiba

I own a toshiba laptop and have a disk protection hardware (HDD protection).
I would like to know if there is some software to enable protection, like HDAPS for ThinkPads.

The best answer I've found is "not yet" however in the last two weeks a developer, Nathaniel M Nelson, has developed a patch that can read the sensor as well as set the protection level. In his blog he says that he is currently working on a park/unpark daemon to accompany this patch. There's a long-standing bug report open at Launchpad where progress can be followed.
