    What happens to Rhythmbox now?

Considering that Gnome is planning on replacing Rhtymbox with a core-utility Gnome Music.

This is in line with many new core apps of Gnome, what is the future of Rhythmbox? I heard they are planning on a ground up rewrite? But for what? Any idea? Any thoughts?

Re: What happens to Rhythmbox now?

Not exactly concerning; the first thing I always did after installing Ubuntu is uninstalling rhythmbox and installing clementine instead. This doesn't mean anything for Ubuntu since Canonical can either choose to ship whatever GNOME makes (unlikely seeing as Unity Next is coming soon and thus Ubuntu will be diverging completely from GNOME), keep the existing version of rhythmbox (it works fine? I guess?), or ship with a different music player (like the all superior clementine).
