Unable to install / remove softwares through "Ubuntu Software Centre"

Hi All ,
I am new to Ubuntu.

When installing / removing software through Ubuntu Software Center , I am getting the following error:

"Software can't be installed or removed because the authentication service is not available. (org.freedesktop.PolicyKit.Error.Failed: ('system-bus-name', {'name': ':1.69'}): org.debian.apt.install-or-remove-packages "
