    Can you elaborate? I'm having the same problem and I'm hoping to resolve it.

    Don't know what zika did, but...

    Here's what I did:
    1. Removed librhythmbox-core6 (this removed several other rhythmbox items, too)
    2. Installed librhythmbox-core7
    3. Installed rhythmbox 2.99 (this installed items that were removed in step 1, also)

    Seems to have fixed the problem for me...
    Intel ® P4 Extreme Edition 3.4 (Gallatin) || DFI ® LanParty PRO875B rev B1
    Crucial ® Ballistix Tracer PC4000 1GB || Mountain Mods U2-UFO Opti-1203
    XFX 7600GT 560M AGP (PV-T73A-UDF3) || Corsair HX520W Modular PSU

    Welcome!

    You know... I haven't cracked open RB in ages.

    Been playing around with VLC lately, using it to play music, radio, podcasts, et cetera, but...

    RB 2.99 doesn't look half-bad, IMO. Think I'll play around with it, for a while.

    I'm fairly new to ubuntu but as a convert from Mac OSX I've found rhythmbox a more than capable replacement for Itunes. I tried out Clementine, Amarok and Banshee but Rhythmbox handles large libraries the best.
