Unable to boot ubuntu 12.04 from live CD

So I just created a live CD to partition and use Linux and put it in to boot but I keep getting this error

    Error 0400 reading Sector 354294

It just repeats again and again Linux will not load

any thoughts fixes or ideas as to how to remedy this

Re: Unable to boot ubuntu 12.04 from live CD Help!

Hi jack32. Welcome to the forums

That sounds like the CD has problems.

I would start by making sure your downloaded copy is not corrupting by checking the checksum, and then by re burning a new copy at a lower speed.

Let us know how it goes.
    Regards.

If your BIOS supports it it's safer to boot from USB.

I prefer flash drives as they are faster and reuseable.

    I don't use regular CD's I use DVD + R and all of my install's have been a success-

If you haven't already get the ISO from here:
    http://releases.ubuntu.com/precise/

After you download the ISO Image open the terminal and check the integrity of that file to be certain it is not corrupt-
Than proceed to burn to DVD/CD
