Hey!
Anyone know what the current state of the poor GMA500 is? Is there 2D or even 3D accel now days?
I read a thread with some very promising progress back in 2011 which sounded like they where getting closer and closer to 3D accel and more stable 2D accel.
With the Linux Kernel 3.* out I have heard that brings better support. Is this correct?

The state is still the same - poorly supported. There is decent 2d, but no 3d, not sure where you've read about "closer and closer...", it has never been the case.
