    Okay, here's Ubuntu 13.04 in all its glory on my laptop :

    This is a stock install with the new reversed Unity button, along with Ubuntu Edgy Eft default wallpaper (available in the repos) for a clean professional effect.

    Changed Wallpaper (Wallapper is called "heaven" got it from DeviantArt) and conky_HD to fit the colors

    Added conky file..if someone wants it

    I hear ya. It's almost like I go out searching through other distros to find one that is clearly better for my needs than Ubuntu, but each time I come back to Ubuntu for one simple reason. It's easy enough for grandma, and advanced enough for a core server. One size fits all. At least, in my opinion.

    as far s writing a sticky tutorial, I just follow the instructions from http://mate-desktop.org which are fairly straightforward or else I couldn't do it.
