Creating USB Install disk inside of Windows[Solved]

    Good Morning,

My department recently received new laptops, so naturally i want to boot Ubuntu on my old laptop as the primary OS and experiment. This laptops CD drive is kaput, so i need to use a USB drive to perform the install. How do i create this installation disk from within Windows? I have downloaded the UUI(Universal USB Installer), but i don't want to run Ubuntu from the flash drive, i want it to be installed directly to the HDD.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Use LinuxLive USB Creator. I've never had a failure with it yet.

The Universal USB Installer that you have is the right tool for the job, it creates a bootable USB stick that can either be run as a live system directly from the USB or used to install Ubuntu onto your hard drive.

Sorry that it took me so long to update this. The LiLi program worked flawlessly to create a USB tool, but I was having issues with my HDD not recognizing the install of Ubuntu. I reformatted the HDD and everything loaded and is working correctly. Thank you for all of your input!
