    Hotmail to Outlook mess

Hotmail has recently forced me to outlook and now I can't attach any files. They claim it will work if you install silverlight for linux. I installed moonlight 64bit and still can't attach files. What a mess, the upgrade (what a joke) to outlook also removed years of old emails. Can anyone make attachments work in the new outlook in ubuntu. I am running classic 12.04 64 bit, thanks.

Hi cmcanulty, I just tried it myself as I was forced to switch over as well. I just attached a file to an email with no problems and I did not add any new software. It must be an issue with one of your add-ons or settings.

I've just tried with both Firefox and Chromium on 13.04, no issues here at all.

Did you restart FF after each add-on you disabled?

Yes I tried disabling all add ons. I also tried disabling all but moonlight as Microsoft says silverlight is required now for outlook. I also tries disabling all but https and all but moonlight and https. And restarting and signing in and out of firefox.

Can you provide a screenshot of what you're seeing at as you try to attach a file? I too use Hotmail and have had no issues since the upgrade (aside from it looking quite hideous of course!).

Here it is. Absolutely nothing happens. The cursor does turn to a hand so it sees the attachment button but no errors or pop ups appear. Just nothing happens.

I just sent test photos from Outlook to Gmx with no request for Silverlight. I run Ghostery on my Ubuntu browsers with all subscriptions selected.

I'm surely not using moonlight in FF.
