No newline characters in my posts?

Hey everyone, so, i don't have any newline characters in my posts! i'm using using crunchbang with openbox. As far as i'm aware, it uses regular unix style line endings. I've also found that i can't edit my defective posts, when i click the edit button, it just hangs.so i was wondering if anyone else had this problem?i remember having a similar problem with Mint about 5 years ago, though then it was all my spaces disappearing in facebook posts.For instance this post has 5 newlines in.

Have you got JavaScript disabled?

Hi cariboo907, thanks for your reply, and for moving this thread to a more appropriate area.

no, javascript is working fine. from the look of it if js was disabled i wouldn't be able to submit anything at all, anyway. though i guess it could be to do with what version of js i have installed (i don't have that laptop with me atm, though i will check the next time i can).

the browser in question is chromium, btw.

hey, so , i just thought i'd give this a quick update.
the problem only occurs on chromium, currently using opera and newlines seem to come out fine.
for anyone interested chromium version is: Version 22.0.1229.94 Debian 7.0 (161065)
