where do I put music files so Unity will find them?

I am trying to like Unity but some things are just plain annoying.

I copied over some music files to my home/Music directory. Then I go to Dash to the music page (or whatever it is called. I click on the music notes icon at the bottom). But none of my music files show up. I check the 'Filter results' and make sure to click All, but still nothing.

When simple things defy logic you gotta wonder what the Unity developer were smoking when wav files in your home Music directory are inaccessible from the default music player.

You have to use Rhythmbox and create a music library. The Music Lens dosen't list files, but the playlists content created by Rhythmbox.
