Solved: Rel12.04 changing Display Resolution to solve"Out of Range" video error

    Reference: Release 12.04 LTS

I changed my Display Setting Resolution under System Settings and got a Video "Out of Range" error along with a black screen. I can reboot and log on as another User and there is no video problem. What short of deleting the user account is available for a fix? Can I go through an Admin account and invoke Nautilus as a superuser and edit a parameter in the affected User account to reset/clear the value?

I am creating more headaches than accomplishments in this upgrade process....

    Hi

It sounds like one of your user settings in your home directory but to help people along, please supply the U/K/X/Lubuntu version you are using.

    Kind regards
