I have a Polycom communicator for use with Skype. It works well with Windows but cannot seem to get it to work with Ubuntu.

When you plug it into your usb port is the device recognised at all. What is the output of lsusb when the device is plugged in.

Being relatively new to Ubuntu, I have not noticed any indication that it has been recognised. Where would I look for the Isusb please?
