Encfs post and pre 10.04 lucid.

I have a encfs volume that was created on 12.04 pangolin. I have been trying to open it on 10.04 lucid and have realized that it's not straight forward giving the link below.

Compatibility Warning

Because of changes to the Boost Serialization library (in 1.42), data encrypted under 10.10 Maverick Meerkat or later are not compatible with encfs running on 10.04LTS Lucid Lynx or earlier.

My question is, is there any way to open a post 10.04 lucid encfs volume in 10.04 lucid?

I don't know the answer to your question, although that seems to be what the error message says.

Is there some reason you can't boot from a LiveCD?

Note that 10.04 desktop has a lifespan measured in weeks.

Having to boot from a livecd will break the workflow drasticlly to the point of a no go.

Do you know if they are any plans to backport libboost ect to lucid?

You should understand that Lucid is not important any more.
