How to close a thread?

I (The Newbie Nummero Uno) have posted a thread with a "wrong" title

I would like to close it, even better - delete it! - Is that possible?
And post a new thread with the right title

Click on Report Post at the left lower corner of the post, and ask the administrators to perform the action, because you cannot do it yourself until you become an administrator

What you can do is mark the thread as SOLVED.

Same answer as already mentioned. Use the Report button and staff can (did - for this one) change it for you.

Thanks for the link you provided with the Temporary work-around to mark your thread SOLVED which helped me figure that out. I've been posting here for a while, but with this new format I didn't know how to mark a thread as SOLVED but the link you provided was pretty straightforward and easy to follow. I hope this gets fixed soon.
