    Gnome 2 and Fuduntu

    hey guys

i noticed out in the world is a distro named fuduntu, which still uses gnome 2 and actively develops on it. making bug fix's left and right and making gnome 2 compatible with the latest GTK and applications

    ( sounds like im advertising -.- )

i was wondering if its possable to take there changes and port them over to ubuntu with gnome 2 and bring gnome 2 back to the desktop

    Why not just install Fuduntu?
Did you choose your Buntu, or did you just stick to the first one you tried?

It isn't based on Fedora (and we wouldn't be allowed to say that it was even if it was). It's an independent Fedora fork.

No worries though, use whatever works best for you.

Linux Mint MATE would be the closest thing to Ubuntu/Gnome2 goodness. I have it running on 2 desktops and 2 laptops. Pope Francis drinks mate, so it must be good.
