    installing nDPI ubuntu 10.10

    Hi, i'm new in ubutu. i want to install nDPI but it has error:

    "configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables" usually means you need to install build-essential. 10.10 is no longer supported, so you will need to switch to the old-releases repositories if you haven't already. Best thing to do though would be to upgrade to a supported version of Ubuntu, 12.04 or newer.

    Unfortunately 11.10 reaches its end-of-life in April. If you upgrade to 12.04 LTS you won't have to worry about upgrading for another four years.

    As mentioned in post #4 there is no point in using 11.10.

    Before spending more time you should do a clean install of 12.04.2 or 12.10.
