First Cup of Ubuntu
I just installed Ubuntu 13.04 on my laptop, as I was unable to boot a 12.10 Live CD.
During the installation, everything worked just fine. But after the installation, my mouse and trackpad are no longer working.
I tried disconnecting and reconnecting the USB mouse, but this doesn't solve the issue.
I've tried connecting several other USB mouses, all have the same issue.
How can I solve this problem?

Ok, I got my mouse to work using the num-pad arrow keys so I could check a couple of things.
It appears that I am not only missing my mouse, but also any network connectivity. This is really strange, as networking was working perfectly fine in the Live environment...

What make/model of laptop do you have? Are you using wireless or wired network connection?

I just tried a newer daily build of 13.04, and this time I get a warning that my screen, video card and input devices could not be recognized by Ubuntu.
There is no way to close the screen, and a hard reset is the only way out.
