Do you recommend to update all important security updates, recommend updates?

Do you recommend to update all important security updates, recommend updates and also the unsupported updates?

Is it fine if I won't update? cause I'm afraid that updates can cause problem.

Am I secured enough if I don't update the security updates?

I'm using ubuntu 12.04 and no problem encountered yet...

I recommend that you research what all the updates are and what for, so that you can best assess how they affect you or your system especially if it is a production system.

Updates are not a requirement, they often bring security and operational fixes of course, but remember the updates are the future vulnerabilities and issues that need patching later

Read the changelogs and updates and research them before applying, or at least have a easily resumable backup or clone in the event something breaks.

    Peace

Next to no problems with updates. A bad habit I admit, but I don't even bother to look at whats being updated anymore.

EDIT: I do watch that I am not being offered a "partial upgrade".
