    Question VirtualBox

I've been using remastersys to make backups of my system (recently they've been failing due to 4g limit), I'd like to fully test them without completely erasing my current installation.
Is is possible to install a customized remastersys live DVD into a VirtualBox config?
Can I start the virtual environment with a different kernel?
I'm currently using 3.5.0-24-generic and have had problems with 3.5.0-25-generic and would like to discover the exact nature of the problem using VB

    If it makes a difference:
    • Ubuntu 12.10 - 64bit
    • 12 Gb memory
    • 1Tb hdd
    • Intel core i7 3.2Ghz
    • Gnome classic
    • Dual boot Win7 on SDD, Ubuntu on 1Tb HDD

    TIA
    Pete

I would say yes to both questions. Thats the nice thing about a VM; wont hurt to try
