I think Ubuntu bricked my battery sensors, can you help me sort it out?
I'm having problems at the moment with my battery sensors: whichever interface I use to find out how much battery power I have, it is always imprecise, which means that my computer keeps switching off abruptly while claiming it has anything from 20 to 40% power left. I have reinstalled Ubuntu (off topic: I replaced the hard drive to get more space) and it still happens, and on Windows too.
This happened since I installed (and subsequently removed) ZRam, you know, the utility that compresses stuff in RAM to act as if you have more RAM.
Is it something on BIOS level? Is there anything I can do about it?
