For one reason or another tty works on the build machines but once the iso is generated TTY's are being ripped out. Ugh, here is the simple fix though.

There is a readme inside the file that says the following.

    Code:
    Step 1

open terminal enter the following without quotes

    "sudo pcmanfm /etc/init"

once directory is open move all tty.conf files (1-6) to init directory.

    restart pc

here is a link to the file(s)

Thanks for the work-around. I'll give it a try again.

    EDIT:

I found the tty*.conf files in /etc/init, but I don't understand to where they need to be moved. I can't seem to find any stand-alone init directory.

Maybe there is an install script and/or boot script that is missing a command to activate the VTs???

If you found the tty.conf files in init, how it is you can't find the init directory? download the files that i provide in the link. unzip it to you desktop open the folder, move the tty files thats in the folder to your etc/init/ directory.

Ooops!!! I'm sorry. I read your post too fast and didn't pay attention that there were new files to download.

    I'll give it another try.

Nope. It must be something in my hardware that's causing the problem.

    It's nice

    -o-

I did not find an answer to this question:

What are the minimum requirements for LXLE?

    - to install it?

    - to run it (to successfully visit typical websites, play multimedia, edit photos, video clips, write documents and presentations ...)

And what would you recommend (if there is a sweet point above the minimum requirement)?

I don't think you should just refer to Lubuntu, because you have another blend of application software. It would be particularly interesting with good specifications for RAM. This will give people realistic expectations.

Running it here too (12.04.2). Very nice indeed!

One thing i noticed though is that the file manager menu entry in 'accessories' doesn't do anything. I checked the command in menu editor and changed it from 'pcmanfm %U' to 'pcmanfm .' which fixed it.

Apart from that it's a lovely little distro with everything i need already in place. It's a keeper!
