What do you mean by linux 9 ? Can you tell us its exact Distribution name? (Ubuntu, Mint,... something else?)
Can you post the link or source where you got it from?

If not sure, can you find terminal in it? In Ubuntu, the shortcut to open terminal is Ctrl+Alt+T.

Once open, enter (copy-paste) the following commands and post their output here -
    Code:
    uname -a
    lsb_release -a
    Varun

This will be move to other distro soon then.

I don't know if Mint support isadora anymore.

Edit: yes it is. Based on Lucid.

    Moved to Other OS/Distro Talk

Although Mint is based on Ubuntu, it is a separate distribution in its own right.

I have had some really good experience with Isadora (LXDE) though :sigh:

    @ delacruzfamily01,
As deadflower mentioned, me too believe that your version of Mint is no more supported. Although the media player issue may still be fixed, I suggest you install a newer, supported version instead of wasting time with an outdated version.

Sorry if this sounds like a no-help post, but with a supported version you will have more chance of everything working out-of-box and troubleshooting, if any required at all, will be easier.

If it sounds reasonable and you are ready to install a newer version, I suggest you download the iso via torrent to ensure its integrity, and test it in live mode before installing, so that you can make sure everything works as expected.

Torrent links can be found for..
Default Ubuntu (requires at least 1 GB RAM) : http://www.ubuntu.com/download/deskt...tive-downloads
Xubuntu (requires 512 MB or more) : http://xubuntu.org/getxubuntu/
    Lubuntu (256 MB or more) : https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Lubuntu/GetLubuntu

Mint or other popular distros also support torrent links, and can be found at their site.
