"Encrypt the Ubuntu install" encrypts the whole disk?

I'm wondering if that option encrypts the whole disk or just my home folder?

It will encrypt the whole partition it is installed to but leave the rest of the drive alone.

That option is for the full install partition, if you just want an encrypted home directory the option is on the create user step.

So I'm guessing it does encrypt the whole disk since it creates extended partitions for /home and etc
