Is there a way to disable Nvidia Optimus (and always use Nvidia GPU)

More than a year ago, I used to have a Dell Vostro 1310 with a GeForce 8400 GPU, which could easily handle Ubuntu and every eye candy I wanted to try. Then I bought a Lenovo Y570, with an Nvidia GT555M, and I had to keep Windows 7 on it due to a project I was doing back then. Now the project is finished and I am back at Ubuntu 12.10. GT555M is an Optimus enabled graphic card, and I've managed to install bumblebee to handle different GPUs. But the thing is I don't know how I can set the whole OS to use Nvidia. I have a feeling that everything is kinda laggy and slow right now. I don't care about the power consumption, since the laptop is always hooked up to the electricity. Is there any way to tell Ubuntu to always use the Nvidia GPU, and somehow ignore the Intel chipset completely?
