Missing File after installing through terminal

Hey guys. I just replaced Apple Snow Leopard with Ubuntu. The problem I'm currently having is wasting space on my hard dive. I tried getting a dictionary through these commands:

sudo apt-get install dictd
sudo apt-get install dict-gcide
sudo apt-get install dict-moby-thesaurus

The files are missing though. How do I retrieve them? I also have GoldenDict(wikipedia) & DictionaryOpenDict (not working) installed to find the best one. So far I'm unable to get a real dictionary/thesaurus. Please tell me what to do to get a regular English dictionary without wasting any space.

Can you please elaborate a bit by what do you mean that files are missing?
Also I am not able to find any package by name dict-guide in our repos.
Did you try typing dictd or dict-moby-thesaurus in dash which opens after pressing super key?

I typed those three commands and the terminal gave me a response that looked right. It was downloading. The website I was looking at implied that the application would start right away but nothing happened. Since it was downloaded, I feel like I have wasted space if I don't at least delete the files. This is the website I looked at.

If I remember correctly there is a app called stardict in ubuntu repos. You can install the app and past the dictionaries in its config folder then i'll refer to all the dictionaries. If you want you can give it a try.
