Ever since I got this laptop (about a year ago), when you change the brightness, it doesn’t go all the way up or down when you want it to. It which just jump back and forth from further darker or brighter. I have press the brightness up twice and then down and it'll go 100% dim.
My Mom's brightness on her laptop works fine. I've tested a few in stores (using Ubuntu), some had the same problem. I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 (32 Bit), when I first got the laptop, it was running 11.04 and had the same problem.
My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite L775.
I have no problem changing the brightness via system settings, it's just using the function keys on the keyboard.
