Windows 8 and the Linux Kernel

Here's a new article that Mr. Torvalds highly objects to:

Linus is absolutely right. Best news in years, actually. Someone in the Linux community finally has guts to say no to MS and its advocates.

Re: Windows 8 and the Linux Kernel

I noticed this label under a picture of him:

Linux Torvalds and Bruce Banner, aka the Hulk, "You wouldn't like me when I'm angry."
That is exactly why I have the avatar that I do! This time, at least, it is not Ubuntu in the firing line.

I wonder if Matthew Garett raised this with Linus Torvalds because he thought that he stood more chance with Linus then with Richard Stallman? Surely Grub enters the discussion at some point?

    Regards.
It is a machine. It is more stupid than we are. It will not stop us from doing stupid things.

I don't think he ever pulled his punches when it came to the Kernel.

Glad that all of you responded!

In another article Linus made it clear:
"Signed binary modules are not going to be in the Linux kernel"
    A-Men to that!!

Good old Finns (I know he's a Finland-Swede). Why dress it up when you can tell it like it is? They were so proud to have won the Eurovision as "men" with Lordi rather than as softies like Sweden with Abba. No, really. I was living there when they won.

"Why use a hammer to crack a walnut? It gets the job done and I have a hammer." - Finnish proverb. Maybe.
