Morgaes, not so far. This was the first time I experienced this in Ubuntu and the first time since my last reinstall of W7. I've been mostly using Ubuntu since then. I'll have to google XFCE and LXDE. Way too techy for me.

You could just run X/Lubuntu in a live boot and see how it works.

I have also noticed some cmd text on my screen just prior to and after "suspend" mode in Ubuntu. The line of cmd text seems to be increasing as well. Not sure if this is normal or related to what happened this afternoon?
I will also add that, although I am new to Linux, I think it's a bit cavalier to walk around brazenly bear breasted or without an econdom to rely on. Just my opinion. I appreciate the input but still think, due other recent experiences, that this a "security" issue and not just "screen flickering".
