    change default location of mysql

I know on FreeBSD I can to this somewhere in /etc but where in Ubuntu 12.10 would I be able to change the location that mysql points to? I've got a server that has a few SSD's in LVM and I would like to keep my DB's on my storage drives.

    Take a look here:

I just checked the config files on my 12.04 server and it looks like that solution should still work.
