    Can't boot windows 7

Hi.I installed ubuntu 12.04 LTS on Win7 via Wubi.exe, but now I can't boot win7 from my windows boot manager! I can only boot ubuntu.
I used the boot repair but the problem isn't fixed yet.
    What should I do now?
    Please help!!!!!!

    Welcome to the forums.

Can you post a link to a boot info summary generated by boot repair? I may help us diagnose the problem.

First off don't run bootrepair on Wubi installs. It's not well... tested:
WARNING: PROGRAMMING BUG IN E2FSCK!OR SOME BONEHEAD (YOU) IS CHECKING A MOUNTED (LIVE) FILESYSTEM.inode_link_info[296028] is 2, inode.i_links_count is 1. They should be the same!Inode 296028 ref count is 1, should be 1. Fix? yes
Also... it rarely helps Wubi installs. You may not know this but Wubi will automatically boot into Windows the first time after installing. After that you get the Windows boot manager prompt. Often people assume that there is no choice. So please confirm whether you have rebooted at all.

    Thanks

So when you boot, it goes straight into Ubuntu?

There doesn't appear to be anything in the bootinfoscript that indicates any problem. Did you make any changes in Windows e.g. changing the boot manager timeout or default Operating system

When I boot, I see the boot menu, but if choose win7, I can't boot into that os, it goes me back to the boot menu, where I choose ubuntu.

    Re: Can't boot windows 7

    That is strange.

Do you have a Windows DVD or Repair CD? If you do you could run a repair.

If not, you could try hitting F8 as it boots and see if you get any options to boot to a prompt or do a safe boot. Probably a good idea to run chkdsk etc.

PS how much space do you have on your Windows partition? Please boot Ubuntu and run:
    Code:
    df -h
And then paste the results. Thanks

    Re: Can't boot windows 7

Never mind about the space - I can see it in the bootrepair log.

    Code:
    /dev/sda3 fuseblk 102G 68G 34G 67% /host

    Re: Can't boot windows 7

So explain your setup some more please. Were you multi-booting Vista and windows 7 before or did you replace Vista with 7? Any idea why grldr is present (that's part of grub4dos)? Any more info will be helpful.

Once you get into Windows, outputting the BCD store will probably be useful attached to a bug report. To get it, run 'bcdedit' from a CMD.exe prompt (run as administrator).
